Rain

I watch the rain slide down the window
Thinking of how lonely it must be
On the other side of this thin glass pane
The one thing seperating me from the harsh world outside
I think of how the colour of the sky
grey, must reflect mother natures mood.
Much how the glass reflects my smile in its shining surface.
I watch as the filth of the world
Is gently scrubbed away by the fingers of the sky
I think of how the rain connects
the eternally seperated earth and sky
Much in the way that i hope
that i may connect with your heart
I turn my gaze to you
your arms wrapped snugly around me
i smile, for it isnt lonely on this side of the glass
the birghtness of your smile reflects my mood
as the rain has the wind for a companion
and the puddles as a sanctuary
I have you beside me
My companion, my sanctuary.
